Ahhh!!! This week has been crazy!
Okay, so I was transferred to Rootstown with Sister Stone!!!! And I am a Sister Training Leader now! That's the part I couldn't tell y'all. AHHH! So basically I am a Zone Leader but just over the girls. I get to do exchanges with full proselyting sisters, and lead Zone Conference (my first one is this Thursday) and many other crazy things. It's overwhelming!!! In fact my first MLC (mission leadership council meeting) was so crazy because Elder Catcher came and spoke to us. He is a Seventy and man was he powerful!
I keep wondering why Heavenly Father keeps giving me these crazy hard tasks like training and being an STL all in the beginning of my mission. Makes me wonder how much harder He is planning to make it. But all is well. There is a reason for everything. And I was reassured that when I went to MLC.
Oh and to answer moms question, yes I am now a satellite Sister. So I will be serving at the visitors' center on Fridays and Saturdays and then the rest of the week I live in Kent. Kent is a college town so that's also why I have two wards. We have a family Ward and a Young Single Adult Ward we are over. The family ward reminds me of our Washington Ward we go to every summer. The people are so funny, we got some hillbillies :) and the smell of the Ward building even is the same. I think we flew to Washington while I was sleeping. I haven't yet been to the YSA ward because they had there meetings way far away this week. I guess their church building is being worked on. However, we did go to Institute and its a fun bunch.I guess the Bishopric asked us to go to it weekly to help the attendance. Most of the YSA is less active, even the YSA mission leader. There were about 8 young single adults that showed up this week I believe. This area is so incredibly different from my last area that its insane.
I have so many things to tell y'all but I really have no idea how to organize my thoughts. Okay to answer mom's questions about mailing, just send everything to the visitor center address still. My apartment is way sketch so I'd rather just wait to get my mail in Kirtland at the end of the week. The apartments reek of weed and other fun drugs so it kinda sucks. But I have lots of Febreeze so that helps. Ooh another fun fact about our apartment. If you hit the wall hard enough, you can hear the mice fall down. Ooh and when we do our morning runs, we always pass this way cool/sketch building that looks like an old run down school.
Okay so I should tell you about my awesome companion Sister Stone! She WILL be a general authority's wife. She is perfect. I mean perfect! She is 100% and works her butt off! I have yet to see a flaw. I am rather impressed hahaha :) She's super sweet and very goofy. She says some of the funniest random things and has a super strong Utah accent. She's from St. George Utah and she's a runner. When we do our morning runs I am just amazed. First we run to a nearby school parking lot and then she runs laps and laps and laps and just keeps going. I am out of breath by the time we reach the school. It's kinda embarrassing hahaha but at least I can make it to the school and sort of keep up with her.
Okay. so the people in our area: We have several investigators which is the best thing ever! We have 2 YSA progressing investigators. Michelle and Jessica. I haven't meet Jessica, but Michelle is awesome! She goes to school in Kent but now because it's summer she is living with her family forever away in Euclid. Buttttttt she loves meeting with us so she drives up here every week to meet with us. Plus she is going to start coming to the Visitors' Center on Fridays to see us then as well. She will be baptized! We also have a bunch of investigators for the Rootstown Ward but I have so many names in my head that I can't quite remember them all. The one I see the mos potential in though is Freedom. Quite the name huh? Shes an African American and she is the funniest lady ever! She laughs a whole lot and talks real loud so its always an entertaining lesson. We were supposed to take her to the Johnson Farm yesterday, but she canceled last minute. She seems very afraid of the idea of becoming a "Mormon" but loves and agrees with all the things we believe. Keep these people in your prayers :) They truly are so close!
AHHH this has been the craziest week yet of my mission! I am so overwhelmed but I know its all just a matter of learning the ropes and getting to know these people. I know Heavenly Father has sent me here for a reason! And I don't at all feel worthy of being a Sister Training Leader (especially over full proselyting sisters) But I guess Heavenly Father has a reason for it. I just have yet to learn. Well, the church is true! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Y'ALL SO MUCH!!!! Keep safe!!!
Love,
