HEYO FAMILY!
This week has been great! Sister Edwards is still doing great! I find us very alike in our desires to go out and get the work done so its been awesome!
This week we saw the Takacs again and Victoria is doing great! She is the smartest little 9 year old that I have met! When ever we come to see her, we follow up and see what she remembers from our last visit and shes got it all down. The whole Takacs family came to church for the first time in years and they were all glowing. Sister Takacs was crying the whole time because she was so happy and she felt so loved by the ward. We also got them to come to one of the baptisms in the area and it got Victoria and her brother super excited for their own baptism!
We also had another lesson with Derek ( I think I told you about him) and he is doing great! He has been praying and really wants to first know if there is even a God. He has changed quite a bit since we last saw him because he is much more hopeful.
We also went tracting this week and saw quite a few miracles. The one that sticks out to me the most is when we knocked on a door and I was immediately inspired to testify of prophets. After I did so, this lady said, "Wait, I was just watching a show today about different religions and it talked about prophets." She let us come in and teach her because she was so curious. Its so neat to see how Heavenly Father prepares people and also how the Spirit inspires us to bring up certain things. Plus this lady is neighbors with one of the members of our ward so thats a bonus.
With our tracting experiences we found a bunch more potential investigators but no one super solid yet. We did find two families that want to learn so we have appointments with them and we also ran into a family that is friends with some members and they said we could come back and join their bible study so that may be a neat experience to find some more people.
Courtney, my investigator from France is doing great! I finally got a hold of her again and she has been attending church regularly and reading the Book of Mormon daily. We communicate through email and she hasn't yet told me if there are any missionaries in her area but I am praying that there are. But if not, I may be able to set us some Skype lessons with her and really prepare her for baptism. She is the coolest! Turns out she was practically in a depression until she found us on Mormon.org. Now she is as happy as ever and she knows its because of the gospel :) So thats great!
My other sites investigators are doing great! I have some less actives that I have been working with that are making tremendous changes in their lives and returning back to church which makes me so happy for them. They sound like completely different people from when I first talked to them. Ah! Its just so amazing to see how the gospel can bring peace and happiness into peoples lives if they let it. I always think about the talk President Uchtdorf gave recently about not over complicating things. Most of these less actives I talk to have either been offended or they just made the gospel too difficult instead of just handing themselves over to the Lord. But I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to help them!
I love my mission! The church is true!!!!!Joseph Smith did restore Christ's church to the earth and we are continuously guided by Gods prophets. I LOVE President Monson! And I am grateful for the opportunities my Heavenly Father has blessed me with.
I love y'all and miss y'all so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until next week!
Love,
